Less than satisfactory experience:
I purchased the 1 hour rapid charger (actually 4 hours in "fine print") with 4 batteries plus an 8 pack. Charger heated the batteries to a point where it was too hot to touch. Green light did not come on until after 18 hours! Measured voltages of the batteries after 6 hours from charging were 1.54V, 1.65V, 1.65V, 1.89V. Stuck them in a nikon sb-900 flash -- no go. Checked that the sb-900 was not fried with Sanyo eneloops - golden -- tried again with Powergenix, no go. Tried them on an sb-800, no go.... more info
Great Batteries:
I have used these for my Flip Camera and in the xbox 36 and Wii Controllers and love them. They last far longer than any other rechargeable batteries I have owned and appear to extend the range of the Wii Controllers. Previously with Wii controllers, about an hour of playing in and I found range got limited. I have played with these batteries for a long time with no change in range! BEWARE does not work with all cameras.:
I bought these to power my Metz Flash for my Canon camera and also for the battery pack for my Canon 7D First off these did not work at all with my Canon 7D battery pack. I kept getting an error message about the battery. For the Canon battery back I would recommend Sanyo Eneloop 8 Pack AA NiMH Pre-Charged Rechargeable Batteries. PowerGenix NIZN rechargeable batteries with charger:
I haven't really had these batteries long enough to give what I would consider a through evaluation. What I have experienced so far has been great. They last a lot longer in my digital camera which is the main reason I got them. The fact that they emulate alkaline batteries (1.56V for the NIZN batteries Verses 1.25 volt for the nicad batteries)makes them work much better in other devices that I have tried them in.
